Questions we hear before every deal closes

Straight answers on scope, timeline, and what actually changes for your teams.

No — that’s exactly what it replaces. TERRA runs on a single, central SAP S/4HANA instance. Only sensitive data gets a lightweight, in-country store; everything else stays in the one system your team already knows.

No. TERRA works inside the SAP interface your teams already use. Compliance routing happens automatically in the background — there’s no separate screen, login, or workflow for business users to learn.

GDPR compliance describes an outcome; TERRA is the architecture that delivers it continuously. Instead of manual controls and periodic audits, TERRA classifies and routes data automatically at the point of entry, so compliance holds up between audits, not just during them.

Most first-jurisdiction implementations go live in 6–8 months, covering requirements analysis, architecture design, build, and validation. A 4–6 week Proof of Concept is available first if you want to validate the approach on your own data before committing.

Because the routing logic is separate from the underlying data storage, adding a new jurisdiction is a configuration change, not a new implementation. Most additional jurisdictions go live in 6–8 weeks.

Yes. TERRA is built on SAP S/4HANA and works with either RISE with SAP (private cloud) or GROW with SAP (public cloud) deployment models.

Because routing rules are configuration rather than custom code, updating for a regulatory change, a new data category, or a new jurisdiction is a configuration update — not an architectural rebuild. KloudData also offers an optional managed service that monitors regulatory changes and recommends updates proactively.

TERRA’s architecture is patent-pending; the application was filed in September 2025. Implementation-specific technical details are proprietary to KloudData and are not shared outside signed customer and partner engagements.

A dedicated project manager, a lead SAP architect with S/4HANA experience, and a security architect with data residency implementation experience are assigned to every engagement, alongside your own IT, legal, and security stakeholders at each phase gate.

A fully operational TERRA environment in your SAP landscape, a compliance validation package for each jurisdiction, architecture and operations documentation, training materials, a runbook for adding future jurisdictions, and an optional managed service for ongoing compliance monitoring.
